Voted favorite guest presenter at FBC'13, Nick is back by popular demand! As explained in "The Devil Wears Prada", fashion is art that you live in. Just as art can be expensive, so can fashion. The average American family spends almost 4% of their income on clothes...almost $3,000 per year! Nick will teach us the insider secrets of the fashion industry to cut that number by more than half, and double your wardrobe at the same time...all while maintaining those brands and designers you love most. Learn to reuse what you have, buy things for a steal, and look and feel better than ever before...all while on a budget.

Do you feel an urgency to be more prepared, but don't know where to start? Shandra is here to simplify your preparedness goals. With a few tips and simple techniques, she will show you how you can become prepared without a lot of extra effort or money. She will talk about the peace of mind that comes when you are prepared for an economic or natural disaster. self-reliance is a way to bring peace to you and your family. Stockpiling is becoming a fad of late, and Shandra will show you how to have your own grocery store in your home...without clipping coupons! Cut down those last-minute shopping trips to the store and learn to save money on your monthly budget by having a well-stocked pantry. She will also share some favorite emergency preparedness products that will take the headache out of preparing for a disaster.

Debt 101 -Taught by Jordan Page of FunCheapOrFree.com

It's that 4-letter D-word again...DEBT. Most of us have it. We all hate it. And in today's world, it's virtually impossible to avoid. In this class we will learn the basics about debt - what it is, where it comes from, and when/how to avoid it. We will also discuss what amount of debt is "appropriate" or "normal", whether to pay off debt or build up savings, how to pay off debt even if you live paycheck to paycheck, simple ways to manage and track your debt, all about credit cards, how to increase your credit score, and will even learn about good debt...yes, there is such a thing! And as always, it will be broken down into simple terminology that will make it easier than ever to understand.

Breakout session #3:

How to talk with our spouse about finances...and not kill each other. -Taught by Kirk Voss of Amber Creek Counseling

Let's face it...communication is hard work. Throw family, life, and finances in the mix and it gets even harder! While each couple's financial situation is unique, there are core communication strategies that provide a foundation soft couples trying to tackle any of the big things in life...from budgeting, to handling a crisis, to kids, and in-laws. This class will cover such communication strategies, address common communication pitfalls and how to repair them, and will discuss healthy ways to break past the "log jams" of mutual goal-seting. You and your partner will walk away with hands-on tools for enhanced connection as both a couple, and a financial duo.

When your paycheck isn't enough -Taught by Bubba and Jordan Page

Have you cut back on everything physically possible and STILL don't have enough to scrape by on each month? Want to become a SAHMom but can't afford cutting down to one income? While making more money isn't always the answer, sometimes it's the only solution. Jordan and Bubba will teach you how to expand your mind and think creatively using the skills you already have, so you can make more money without having to get a second full-time job! Learn creative ways to earn money from home, and even how to make more money at your current job, simply by taking skills and talents you already have and making them work for you...the smart way.

Guys...Frugality Boot Camp is literally a few weeks away! Is anyone else so excited? For those of you who live out of state and can't travel in, just hold on, I might just have some exciting news for you coming up on Saturday *wink wink hint hint*. In the meantime, I wanted to introduce you to the team that is not only making FBC'14 possible, but is making it better than ever this year! It's because of these sponsors that allows us to offer FBC at such a low price. Trust me, there is a lot of overhead that goes into throwing one of these conferences. We have hand-picked every sponsor (and yes, we are very picky) based on the quality of what they provide, and how it can benefit YOU. So please take the time to read about them and get to know them better...you'll be happy you did!
